Terms of Service
The agreement between your company and us for CMMC.Live, in plain words. Last updated 12 October 2026.
1. Who we are, and how you agree
CMMC.Live is a service of Brevardhost.net (“we”, “us”). These terms are between us and the company that uses CMMC.Live (“you”).
You agree to these terms when you pay your first invoice, or when you first use your CMMC.Live site, whichever comes first. The person who agrees must be allowed to agree for the company.
2. What CMMC.Live is, and is not
CMMC.Live is a managed service. You get a CMMC.Live site of your own, which we host, keep up to date and look after for you. It helps you prepare for CMMC, report your self-assessment and keep it up.
- It is not a certification, and we are not a C3PAO or a certified assessor.
- It is not legal advice.
- Your company stays responsible for its own compliance, for what it reports in SPRS, and for any affirmation it makes.
3. Your plan
Your plan includes everything listed on our Pricing page, with the admins your plan lists (Level 1: 1 CMMC Admin and 1 Company Admin; Level 2: 2 of each; IT company plans: 2 CMMC Admins, and 2 Company Admins in each company) and as many CMMC Users as you need. Extras, such as more companies or more admin seats, are added when we agree them with you.
Your plan includes general help with CMMC and with using CMMC.Live. This covers questions about how a requirement affects your software and devices, and the usual ways to solve it. Anything more, such as hands-on IT work, is agreed with you in writing, with its price, before any work starts.
4. Billing
- After our first call we send your first invoice. On a monthly plan, the same amount is then billed each month until you stop. On a yearly plan, it is billed once a year until you stop.
- Your first month, or year, starts the day your site is ready.
- Extras you add, such as another company or admin seat, start on your next bill. We do not charge for part of a month or a year.
- Payments go through Authorize.net. Your card details stay with them, never on our site.
- Prices do not include taxes that apply to you.
- If we change your price, we tell you at least 30 days before the change. A founding price does not change for as long as you keep your plan.
- If a payment is more than 15 days late, we may pause your site after telling you. Nothing is deleted while it is paused.
5. How you stop
- Tell us any time. A monthly plan has no contract.
- Your plan ends when the time you already paid for ends: the month on a monthly plan, the year on a yearly plan. We do not refund part of a month or a year.
- Your site stays open 30 days after that, so you can download your reports and policies. Then it is deleted for good. Copies in our backups are removed as those backups expire.
We may end the service if you break these terms in a serious way, or do not pay after we have told you. Unless the problem is urgent, we tell you first and give you time to fix it.
6. Your information, and CUI
- Never put CUI, classified information, passwords or other secrets into CMMC.Live. Your evidence stays in your own approved storage. CMMC.Live keeps only where it is.
- What you put into CMMC.Live belongs to you. We use it only to run your site, support you, keep it safe and back it up.
- We look inside your site only to do those things, or when you ask us for help.
Our Privacy Policy says more about the information we keep and why.
7. The AI helper
- The AI helper sends what you ask, and the words of the page you are on, to OpenAI to write its answer. Names are taken out first. Anything that looks like a password, an ID number or a CUI marking is not sent.
- OpenAI may keep what is sent for up to 30 days to check for abuse.
- The helper can be wrong. Check what it writes before you rely on it. Nothing it writes is kept until you press to keep it.
- Each site and each person has a daily number of questions.
8. Fair use
- Use CMMC.Live only for lawful purposes.
- Do not try to break into, overload or copy the service, or reach another customer’s site.
- Each account is for one person. Do not share sign-ins.
- Do not resell CMMC.Live or offer it to other companies, unless we have agreed it with you (for example, more companies for an IT company with customers).
9. Keeping it running
We work to keep your site running, safe and up to date. Sometimes it is briefly down for updates or repairs. We improve CMMC.Live over time. We do not take away a main part of what you pay for without telling you first.
10. Who owns what
Your content, your reports and the policies you write are yours to use. CMMC.Live itself, including its software, its Knowledge Base, training and news, and its look, belongs to us or to those who license it to us. You may use our articles and training inside your company while you have a plan.
11. Limits on our responsibility
We provide CMMC.Live “as is”. We do our best, but we do not promise that it is free of errors, or that using it leads to any result, award or contract.
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost contracts or lost data. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You are responsible for claims that come from how your company uses CMMC.Live, or from content you put into it.
12. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute goes to the courts in Brevard County, Florida, or the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you, we email your admins at least 30 days before it takes effect.
14. Questions
Ask us any time through our Contact page, or from Support inside your site.
